In the fall of 2007, my first book, "How To Open & Operate a Financially Successful Web-Based Business," was published by Atlantic Publishing. Over a three month period, I researched, wrote, and edited the almost 70,000 word manuscript.

How the process works:

1. You contact me to schedule a free initial consultation to discuss your book writing needs.

2. During the initial consultation, we will discuss your needs and goals, including:

• Whether you want your book ghostwritten or written

• How much research will be required, including the need for interviewing sources

• Your timeline

• Your budget

3.  Within 24-48 hours of the initial consultation, I will provide you with a brief proposal which will include the estimated cost of writing the book (which can range anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 depending on the specifics of the project). I do not do graphic design for the book cover or interior; however, I can refer you to a reputable designer, if you request it.

4. Once you have decided to move forward with the project, I will send you a Statement of Work, outlining the specifics of the project, including pay and milestones, to review and to sign. Both you and I must sign, date, and have a complete copy before work can begin.

5.  If requested, I will sign and date a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Regardless of whether there is a NDA, all correspondence and other information will remain confidential.

6. An initial deposit will be required before work can begin.

7. I will provide you with frequent updates as to the progress of my work.

8. The first draft of the manuscript will be delivered to you by the chosen deadline.

9. Up to two rounds of editing will be made to the manuscript. Once you have approved the final changes, the final payment will be due. Please note: If the Statement of Work stipulates all copyrights will be transferred to you, the transfer will only take place after full payment for the work has been paid.

10. Please let me know if you need marketing help, such as writing and submitting press releases, for your book.
